WHAT BROUGHT THE HILLS TO THE MISSION FIELD?

When missionary friends shared at Hannah’s home church in 2009, she suddenly felt a strong desire to help as soon as she was old enough. Surprisingly though, just a year later, her family was asked to join the work on the border of Thailand and moved there in 2011.

Meanwhile, Jonathan had grown up with an interest in foreign missions, but it was when he visited Asia for the first time in 2013 and met people who had never heard about Jesus that he felt compelled to give his life to help reach them. He joined JFA in 2014 and, in 2016 moved to Thailand to work as Jesus for Asia’s Foreign Corespondent.

Jonathan and Hannah were married in 2018; since then they have worked together to make videos about JFA projects in countries like Thailand, Cambodia, and India. In 2021, they moved from Chiang Mai to Nakhon Sawan in central Thailand, where there are few Christians and no SDA church. Building strong connections with people while still traveling a lot has its challenges, but they have seen God’s hand leading them and know that His Spirit is working to draw hearts to Him.
