Mumbai Church Rebuild Happening after Being Condemned 14 Years Ago!
Mumbai is one of India's largest cities, with more than 20 million people in the metro area. We are so excited to see how God is moving to reopen a church in Chembur, a suburb of Mumbai, that was condemned as unsafe 14 years ago (read more of the backstory for this project).
After many years of praying, God has finally opened the doors to start rebuilding the church. The construction workers are working on installing the building's steel framing.
The new church will have two floors, with a capacity of 100 people on the second floor.
The Mumbai Metro Section officers expressed their praises to God for the neighbor who has allowed the construction crew to use their electrical hookups to run their welding machines. Since this building is tucked between several other buildings, the construction crew is doing much of the work by hand.
Please continue to keep the Chembur church rebuild in your prayers. We will share more updates soon.
